Compared with AC induction motors, brushless motors are simpler in structure, less noisy and easier to maintain.
1. Speed/torque characteristics:
Brushless motor: flat - under the condition of load rating, can work normally at all speeds.
AC induction motor: non-linear - low torque at low speed.
2..Output power/volume:
Brushless motor: high - due to the permanent magnet of the rotor, a smaller volume can be achieved for a given output power.
AC Induction motor: medium - since both stator and rotor have windings, the ratio of output power to volume is lower than that of BLDC.
